Howie Beck is a somewhat twee singer songwriter from Canada. His gentle strummings and pleadingly sung vocals are pleasant enough but don’t really grab you as a listener. The music is rather overproduced for my tastes and results in a faux theatricality which annoys rather than envelopes as it should.
