Serena Maneesh - Drain Cosmetics (CD Review)

Serena Maneesh are a bit strange. They have a touch of goth about them, a bit of old Jesus & Mary Chain mixed with The Cocteau Twins, early Primitives and a smattering of rock. They are as hard to pin down as they are fantastic to listen to. The beats are solid, the guitars are loud but the vocals are like a serenade or at times even a lullaby. Drain Cosmetics is very strange but compelling at the same time.
