Flaming Lips work with Goldfrapp

The Flaming Lips have remixed Goldfrapp track ‘Satin Chic’, and it will be released via download as of 14 Aug, with a limited edition 7″ double A side to follow, also featuring Goldfrapp’s reworking of The Ordinary Boys’ ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ on 4 September.

Alison Goldfrapp says: “I’ve got this big thing about The Flaming Lips at the moment. I mean, who hasn’t? I met Wayne Coyne last year and he was utterly charming of course, and their show was amazing. It’s an exhilarating combination of the magical and the resolutely rinky-dink home made. I just loved it.”

Coyne adds: “I believe we veered towards a Nina Simone meets Radiohead kind of mood. It was truly a joy to experiment with her lovely voice.”
