Bloc Party release ‘The Prayer’ on 29th January

Bloc Party release the single The Prayer on the 29th January 2007. The Prayer will be the first single released from the bands second album A Weekend in The City 5th February on Wichita Recordings. The single and album have both been produced by Jacknife Lee and recorded in Ireland. The Prayer will be available on the following formats as well as a download bundle with exclusive remixes.

Exclusive remixes of “The Prayer” will include a freaked-out club banger from hotly tipped, Parisian DJ Para One (Institubes); a perfect drum and bass production from the UK’s Break & Silent Witness (DNAudio, Quarantine Records); and a dirty roller from new UK duo Does It Offend You, Yeah? (Virgin).

Bloc Party will be touring the UK in January 2007, their first UK tour since October 2005 all shows have sold out. Dates are as follow:
