Young London troubadours Larrikin Love, lyrical talent Jamie T and the inimitable Nerina Pallot have all confirmed they will be playing at Fopp’s café-bar within the Tottenham Court Road store in January, so come on in and enjoy a drink from the Fopp licensed bar or kick back and relax in Fopp’s café area.

Larrikin Love – who take their unusual name from frontman Miko’s surname – are causing quite a stir with their debut album The Freedom Spark. Their musical fusion of ska, punk and reggae, with catchy riffs and lyrics that reference quintessentially London places and experiences, has earned them comparisons with the Libertines. They have had to change their Fopp date (previously arranged for 15th January) to Monday 22nd January at 6pm, Fopp Tottenham Court Road.

Next up is London’s Jamie Treays – aka Jamie T – will showcase his great lyrical talent and support the release of the single Calm down Dearest, out on 15th January and taken from the stunning debut album Panic Prevention out on January 29th. Jamie brings his blend of rap/reggae/punk to Fopp Tottenham Court Road on Wednesday January 17th at 5:30pm

Nerina Pallot, whose songs spin webs, catch moments, memoirs, emotions and people. As a teenager she was ‘obsessed’ by such diverse acts as Bon Jovi, the Stone Roses, Simon and Garfunkle and Carole King, she has gone on to tour with Suzanne Vega and Sheryl Crow. Nerina Pallot plays three fopp stores across the country to support the new single Learning to Breathe, out on January 8th, from the album Fires. See her at the following times and places

Tuesday 9th Jan, at 6pm, Tottenham Court Road Fopp, London
Monday 29th Jan at 2pm – Manchester Fopp
Wednesday 2nd February at 2pm – Union Street Fopp, Glasgow

Fopp’s flagship Tottenham Court Rd store is home to a fully licensed venue/bar and café area, where you can grab a coffee and wind-down in Fopp’s café area or enjoy a drink or two at the bar.

These bands are now part of the institution that is Fopp in-stores - Dirty Pretty Things, The Kooks, The Mystery Jets and Hot Chip have all played at Fopp stores in recent times. Fopp’s ability to provide a platform for cutting edge bands to play to fans across its stores is being developed all the time. Now that there are even more Fopp Stores there’ll be even more music…

Please be aware: Fopp’s in-store gigs are occasionally subject to change. Full and latest listings, along with more information on all other Fopp news are always available from www.fopp.co.uk
