Ewan McGregor to play Kurt Cobain

Rumour has it Ewan McGregor will play Kurt Cobain in a new biopic about the legendary Nirvana frontman. The rumours follow confirmation from Courtney Love that a Cobain biopic was, in deed, in development. Love said two actors were being considered to play the lead in the film, expected to be based primarily on the Charles R Cross Kurt biography ‘Heavier Than Heaven’. Love said she couldn’t “name names” but that “you’ll all be happy” (you’ll meaning Cobain’s fans, presumably). But the Express quote an insider as saying McGregor is currently the number one choice.
