The Horrors - Tour and a new single

Strange House The Horrors are set to release a brand new single on Loog on the 18th June 2007.

‘She Is The New Thing’, the follow up to ‘Gloves’, is taken from their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Strange House‘ which was released on Loog on the 5th March. Produced by Ben Hillier, the new single is released on CD and two limited edition seven inch vinyl featuring exclusive new tracks, including a Cavemen remix of ‘She is The New Thing’ and ‘Sister Leonella’ produced by Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner.

The Southend five-piece, who recently completed a sell out headline tour of the UK, are currently finishing off their European run of shows, before heading off on an extensive tour of America through June. The Horrors line up of Faris Rotter - Vocals, Tomethy Furse - Bass, Joshua Third - Guitar, Spider Webb - Organ and Coffin Joe - Drums kick off the thirteen date tour with 2 dates in New York, before winding up with a Seattle show on 20th June. They then return to the UK for a slot on the John Peel stage at Glastonbury, kicking off their Summer festival run which culminates in Reading/Leeds.

The Horrors signing sessions TODAY

The Horrors have confirmed that they will be holding two ‘Gloves’ signing sessions today, the day of the single’s release (Monday February 26).

Catch the band at Fives Records in Leigh-on-Sea by their hometown of Southend at 12.30pm, before they hot-foot it over to Rough Trade Records in Covent Garden, London for another signing session 5.30pm.

Both appearances are sure to be well attended so we suggest you get there early and form as orderly a queue as the situation will allow. There will be a few ultra limited pairs of Horrors leather gloves that aren’t on sale anywhere to giveaway to some lucky fans randomly chosen at the instores, so come on down!

Please note that these appearances are signing sessions only and not musical performances.

The Horrors Headline tour and album

The Horrors, who release their debut album ‘Strange House’ on March the 5th,  set off on their biggest UK headline tour to date in  March and April.

Currently on the ‘Shockwaves NME Awards Indie Rock Tour’, The Horrors  line up of Faris Rotter - Vocals, Tomethy Furse - Bass, Joshua Third - Guitar, Spider Webb - Organ and Coffin Joe - Drums  kick off the eighteen date tour in Liverpool on the 23rd of March before winding up with a London show on Friday the 13th of April at The Coronet Theatre.

The Horrors release debut album in March

The Horrors are set to release their eagerly awaited debut album on Loog Records on the 5th of March.

‘Strange House’ features eleven new tracks and includes the highly collectable debut  single ‘Sheena Is A Parasite’ from April 2006, the recent ‘Count In Fives’ 45 and forthcoming single ‘Gloves’ which is released on the 26th of  February.

Recorded and Produced in London with Ben Hillier, Jim Sclavunos of the Bad Seeds and Seb Lewsley, the new album is released on Limited Gatefold Vinyl, CD, Digital download and a special Limited edition CD / DVD. All UK versions of the album feature the band’s second single, ‘Death At The Chapel’ as a bonus track.
